Iberia is the most punctual airline in Europe and the second most punctual in the world
In February, Iberia was ranked as the most punctual airline in Europe and the second most punctual airline in the world, according to the ranking prepared by the international consultancy Cirium. The airline thus reaches the top of the podium in Europe and consolidates its second position worldwide, also achieved in January, continuing with the good results obtained in 2024.
Last February, 91.25% of the 13,759 flights operated by the Spanish airline reached their destination on time. In the worldwide category, airlines with the highest number of Available Seat Kilometres (ASK) in the market compete; specifically, they have to be in the top 10% of airlines with the highest ASK in the world and also operate in at least three regions.

Ramiro Sequeira, Iberia’s Chief Operating Officer, stated: ‘It is a great satisfaction to be the most punctual airline in Europe and the second most punctual in the world, which shows the teamwork of Iberia’s employees so that every day our planes can take off and land on time. These figures demonstrate our commitment to punctuality and consistency, especially after a challenging last six months of 2024. It is important to offer our customers the best experience.
