Meliá Hotels & Resorts Brand to Debut in Venice in 2025

Meliá Hotels International continues to expand its presence in Italy with the signing of the Meliá Venezia Lido hotel, which will be managed by SoGes Group Spa.

Ideally located on Lido di Venezia, one of the two barrier islands of the iconic Italian city, the hotel is scheduled to open in June this year.

Meliá Hotels International has announced the signing of a new project in Italy, located on one of Venice’s barrier islands. The hotel will be operated by the Italian SoGes Group Spa, a company with extensive experience in the hospitality sector, under the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand, with support from the Spanish group in areas such as distribution and loyalty programs.

Meliá Venezia Lido will enjoy a prime location in the heart of Lido di Venezia, on one of the island’s main streets, just a 20-minute ferry ride from the famous Piazza San Marco. The hotel will be housed in a 1920s building, currently undergoing extensive renovations to meet the brand’s standards and offer guests a truly unique hotel experience.

Set to open this summer, Meliá Venezia Lido will feature 60 rooms that seamlessly blend design with the essential amenities to ensure a perfect stay for guests. The hotel will also offer a restaurant and bar, where guests can enjoy the finest culinary experiences.

This new addition reinforces Meliá Hotels International’s strong expansion in Italy, where it has already established its top brands. The company currently operates 8 hotels in the country, with 6 more set to open soon, including Meliá Venezia Lido.
